Glove Compartment Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

Glove Box Lock Cylinder Replacement

NOTE:  Take care not to scratch the glove box.

1. Remove the glove box.

2. Pull out the glove box knob (A) and use a hooked-shaped tool to pull the top end of the retainer (B) out of its slot (C).

NOTE:  Do not remove the retainer entirely. Leave the other side of it in the original position when removing and installing the lock cylinder.

3. Remove the glove box lock cylinder (A).

4. Reinstall the top of the retainer (A) in its original position, then reinstall the lock cylinder (B). Push the cylinder into place securely until the

retainer snaps into place.
