MIL Is On With DTC P0171
SYMPTOM
The MIL is on with PGM-FI DTC P0171 (rear bank [bank 1] fuel system too lean).
PROBABLE CAUSE
An incorrect PCM calculation indicates a lean condition for fuel bank 1.
NOTE:
The fuel management system and its components are working correctly, and no problem(s) exist; however, the PCM calculation error typically
occurs with these factors:

Using 10 percent ethanol fuel
^
Driving at high elevation (above 3,000 feet)
^
Driving during hot weather conditions
^
Valve adjustment that's set to the loose side of the specification
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Use the HDS with software version 2.005.008 (or later) to update the PCM PGM-FI software.
