9. Cut four 8 mm x 18 mm pieces of wool felt, and wrap them around the four retaining tabs on the gear position indicator panel to prevent the tabs
from sliding during installation.
10. Type B shift lever: Carefully reinstall the indicator panel onto the base.
11. Type A shift lever: Reinstall the A/T gear position indicator panel and base.
12. Reinstall the shift lever knob, and tighten the screws.
13. Reinstall the shift lever knob cover by snapping it into place.
