Power Trunk / Liftgate Lock Switch: Testing and Inspection

Trunk Lid Opener Motor/Latch Switch Test

1. Open the trunk lid.

2. Disconnect the 6P connector from the trunk latch.

3. Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground according to the table. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only

momentarily.

4. Check for continuity between the terminals in each trunk lid position according to the table.
5. If the motor does not operate as specified or the continuity is not as specified, replace the opener motor/latch switch.
