Pulser & Sensor Gap Measurement

FRONT

1.

Check pulser for chipped or damaged teeth and replace as necessary.

2.

Measure air gap between sensor and pulser all the way around while rotating driveshaft by hand, Fig. 77. If gap exceeds its maximum specification
at any point, the knuckle is most likely distorted and should be replaced. On 1991 Prelude models, air gap should be .016-.029 inch. On 1992
Prelude and Civic models, air gap should be .016-.039 inch. On Accord models, air gap should be .02-.04 inch.

REAR

1.

Remove rear caliper and brake disc.

2.

Check pulser for chipped or damaged teeth and replace as necessary.

3.

Measure air gap between sensor and pulser all the way around while rotating driveshaft by hand, Fig. 78. If gap exceeds its maximum specification
at any point, the knuckle is most likely distorted and should be replaced. On 1991 Prelude models, air gap should be .016-.029 inch. On 1992
Prelude and Civic models, air gap should be .016-.039 inch. On Accord models, air gap should be .02-.04 inch.
