Key Interlock Solenoid Test

KEY INTERLOCK SOLENOID TEST

Caution: All SRS electrical wiring harnesses are coverd with yellow outer insulation. Before disconnecting the SRS wire harness, install the
short connector on the airbag. Replace the entire affected SRS harness assembly if it has an open circuit or damaged wiring.

1. Remove the dashboard lower cover.
2. Remove the knee bolster.

3. Disconnect the 7-P connector from the main wire harness.

4. Check for continuity between the terminal in each switch position according to the table.

5. Check that the key cannot be removed when the battery is connected to the A and B terminals.

If the key cannot be removed, the key interlock solenoid is OK.
