Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Testing and Inspection

PCV System Test

G1.Check the crankcase ventilation hoses and connections for leaks and clogging.

PCV Testing

2. At idle, make sure there is a clicking sound from the PCV valve when you lightly pinch the PCV hose with your fingers or pliers.

If no clicking sound is heard, replace the PCV valve and recheck.
