Power Steering Pump Adjusting Bolt

Installing a new wing-type adjusting bolt will reduce the possibility of overtensioning the power steering belt during future maintenance or repair.

VEHICLES AFFECTED

1992 Civic: All models with power steering.

1993 del Sol Si:

1993 del Sol S with A/T Through VIN JHMEG12...PS002662

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Update all cars within the affected VIN range - those in your inventory before sale, and all customer units whenever they're brought in for service.

Replace the existing power steering pump adjusting bolt with the wing-type bolt listed under PARTS INFORMATION.

Remove and discard the existing power steering pump adjusting bolt.

NOTE:
Do not loosen the power steering pump mounting bolts.

2.

Install the new wing-type adjusting bolt, and tighten it securely by hand.
