Air Control Valve: Testing and Inspection
Air Control Valve A
1.
Disconnect vacuum hose No. 29 at vacuum hose manifold and connect suitable hand vacuum pump to hose.
2.
Apply vacuum to hose No. 29 and blow air through the air suction hose.
3.
When vacuum is applied, air should flow without resistance. When vacuum is released, air should flow with resistance, pressure should build up
on the gauge and be released gradually.
4.
If there is a change in air flow resistance when vacuum is released, reconnect air suction hose and hose No. 29, then proceed to "Frequency
Solenoid Valve B" test procedure. If there is no change in air flow resistance, replace air control valve and repeat test.
