If the wire harness is routed properly, go to step 4.

If the wire harness is not routed properly, reroute it as shown.

Repeat the DIAGNOSIS procedure.

If the hatch open indicator now works properly, go to step 8

If the hatch open indicator still remains on, continue to step 4.

Remove the lower trim panel to expose the striker mounting bolts.

5.

Check the position of the striker. There are three scribe marks on the body; the mark on the striker should be aligned with the center scribe mark.

If the striker is not aligned with the center scribe mark, go to step 6.
