Fuel Pressure Regulator: Testing and Inspection

Check for proper fuel pressure, refer to ``Fuel Pressure Testing'' procedure.

If fuel pressure is not as specified and fuel pump is satisfactory, check pressure regulator as follows:

a. Check for pinched or broken vacuum hoses, then disconnect vacuum hose from regulator and check pressure. Pressure should rise.
b. If fuel pressure does not rise as specified, check whether it rises when return hose is lightly pinched.
c. If pressure still does not rise, replace regulator and retest.
