Drive Belt: Adjustments
Power Steering
Adjustment
1. Loosen the power steering pump mounting bolt
2. Adjust the belt tension by moving the power steering pump with a 1/2" drive breaker bar to obtain the proper belt tension, then retighten the
mounting bolt and lock bolt.
3. Start the engine and turn the steering wheel from lock-to-lock several times, then stop the engine and recheck the deflection of the belt.
