Air Door Cable: Adjustments
Function (Mode) Control Rods

1.

Disconnect HEAT/DEF and VENT/DEF control rods, Fig. 17.

2.

Ensure function control motor is properly mounted, turn on ignition and press defrost button to energize motor.

3.

Move vent and defrost door to defrost position, then snap VENT/DEF rod into clip on lever, Fig. 17.

4.

Move heat and defrost door to defrost position, then snap HEAT/DEF rod into clip on lever, Fig. 17.

5.

Engage function control in all positions, ensuring doors and linkage operate smoothly. Check that motor remains cool if doors are left in each
position for 2 minutes.
