"B" PILLAR SEAL

1.

Remove the four clips and one screw from each side of the "B" pillar seal, and then remove the seal.

Remove all old adhesive from the "B" pillar and the "B" pillar seal retainer. First use a plastic scraper (to avoid breaking the paint surface), then
use 3M Adhesive Cleaner on a shop towel. Remove a//the old sealant; if you don't, the new seal will not stick.

Before applying any Cemedine, set the new "B" pillar seal in place so its mold seam marks line up midway between the seams in the rear window
header.

Without changing its position, carefully lift one corner of the new seal out of the way, and apply a 6 mm bead of Cemedine to the seal channel and
then down into the seal retainer.

Remove the three pieces of white tape from the butyl adhesive on the new seal.

Install the clip through the top of the new seal, and then press the seal into its retainer. Make sure the outside lip of the seal goes over the retainer
flange.

7.

Reinstall the screw at the top, and then check that the lower edge of the seal matches the contour of the body, or is no more than 3 mm higher. If
necessary, pull the seal up (starting from the bottom) or down (starting from the top) every few inches as shown.

8.

Insert the lower end of the seal behind the door opening trim, and install the three lower clips.

9.

Repeat steps 4 thru 8 on the other side of the car.
