Camshaft Oil Seal: Service and Repair
1.
Remove cam drive sprocket refer to Timing Components / Timing Belt.
2.
Pry seal from its seat in crankcase.
3.
Clean seal seating surfaces thoroughly, apply a light coat of oil to crankshaft and lip of seal and position seal with part number side facing out.
4.
Drive seal until it bottoms in crankcase.
5.
Install cam drive gears, timing belt, and adjust timing belt as outlined in Timing Components / Timing Belt.
