Axle Beam: Service and Repair
Axle Beam Replacement
1. Remove the hub bearing unit.
2. Disconnect the brake line (A) from the wheel cylinder (B).
3. Remove the parking brake cable clamp (C), then remove the rear brake assembly (D) from the spindle.
NOTE:

The parking brake cable must not be bent or distorted. This will lead to stiff operation and premature cable failure.

During installation, install the new flange bolt (E).
4. Remove the wheel sensor (A), and the spindle (B) from the axle beam.
NOTE: During installation, install a new flat-head screw (C).
5. Remove the wheel sensor harness clip (A) from the rear axle beam. Do not disconnect the wheel sensor connector.
