About the Odyssey
The Odyssey minivan was introduced in 1994. The first generation was a compact van engineered in Japan and was less well received in North America than at home. From the 1999 model year Honda sold a larger Odyssey in North America and a smaller one in Japan, and later built a plant in Lincoln, Alabama, for the larger models.
