Remove the air mix control cable by cutting the inner cable on the lever side of the cable holder; then remove both pieces of the inner cable.

Using a sharp knife, cut through the end of the cable housing at the two locations shown above.
13.
Slide the larger section of cable housing out of the cable holder, being careful not to damage the cable stops.
14.
Carefully remove the cut pieces of the cable housing with a small flat-tip screwdriver.
15.
Hook the tip of the new air mix control cable to the temperature control lever; then push the cable housing into the cable holder until it locks into
place.
16.
Reinstall the heater control panel; then reinstall the stereo radio/cassette player onto the radio frame.
17.
Reconnect the radio and heater control panel connectors; then reinstall the radio panel into the dashboard.
18.
Route the air mix control cable in front of the center console bracket and below the glove box mounting bracket.
