Remove the three screws mounting the regulator to the diode bridge.

Place the regulator on a hard surface. Use a small hammer to drive out the mounting stud.

Separate the regulator from the condenser.

Clean the contact surfaces with a clean shop towel and a mild cleaning solvent. Do not use abrasives or a wire brush; you will damage the
corrosion-protective plating.

Place the new regulator (see PARTS INFORMATION) on the condenser.

23.

Reinstall the regulator and condenser onto the diode bridge with the original screws. Torque the screws to 2.0 Nm (18 lb-in).
