Speakers Crackle, Fade In & Out, Sound Distorted, or Radio Does Not Work
SYMPTOMS
The radio may have any of these conditions:

The radio is on with no sound.
^
The speakers crackle.
^
The volume fades in and out.
^
The sound cuts out intermittently.
^
The sound from the radio is distorted.
^
The radio will not turn on, and the display is not on.
PROBABLE CAUSES
The left and/or right tweeter wires were cut by the door sheet metal during door panel installation, or
The main body ground (G102) is loose or making poor contact.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Inspect both sets of tweeter wires and check the main body ground. Shorten the tweeter wire(s) and, if necessary, repair any damaged harness or poor
ground.
