Moaning Noise With A/C On

SYMPTOM
A moaning noise is heard when the A/C is on and the engine speed is between 800 and 1,500 RPM.

PROBABLE CAUSE
The A/C compressor pulley does not have enough mass to dampen the pulses of refrigerant leaving the compressor.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the A/C compressor pulley and clutch.

NOTE: For the quietest compressor operation, install all of the parts in the kit. Use the shims as needed to adjust drive-plate-to-pulley clearance.
