a. Apply sealant (TB-1207B or equivalent) to contact surfaces of cylinder head with front and rear camshaft bracket housing as shown.

b. Tighten camshaft bracket housing fixing bolts in sequence in illustration.

Tighten M6 bolts to 8 Nm (69 inch lbs.)

Tighten M8 bolts to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.)

4. Thrust plate [3]

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (87 inch lbs.) 

5. Oil seal and camshaft end plug [6]

-

Apply engine oil to the camshaft oil seal lip and install new camshaft oil seal. Use the Camshaft oil seal Installer J-39203, or equivalent.

7. Camshaft timing pulley [1]

-

Tighten the camshaft timing pulley fixing bolts to 63 Nm (46 ft. lbs.).
