Apply engine oil to the thread and sealing surface of each nut.

Tighten nuts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).

NOTE:  Do not apply engine oil to the bearing back faces and connecting rod bearing fitting surfaces.

After tightening the nuts, make sure that the crankshaft rotates smoothly.

2. Oil gallery [5]

Tighten the bolts in 2 steps, in the order shown.
-

1st step tighten to 29 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).

-

2nd step tighten 55 - 65° more.

3. Oil strainer and rubber ring [4]
4. Oil pipe and rubber ring [3] 
5. Oil pan [2]
6. Cylinder head [1]
