Shackle: Service and Repair
PREPARATION: Raise the vehicle on a hoist and support the rear axle independently to relieve the tension on the leaf springs.
REMOVAL
1. Nut and washer.
2. Shackle. Drive out the shackle with a hammer, using a brass drift.
INSTALLATION
1. Shackle. Apply rubber grease to inside and outside of the rubber bushing.
2. Nut and washer. Torque to 98 Nm (73 ft. lbs.).
