d. Use a punch to stake the mainshaft nut.

12. Counter reverse gear:(19) 

a. Apply engine oil to the counter reverse gear and the reverse gear.

b. Install the counter reverse gear to the counter gear. The reverse gear projection must be facing the intermediate plate.

13. Counter 5th gear.(18) Install the counter 5th gear to the transmission.
