Regional Product Update Campaign: Prelude Air Conditioning Condenser
BACKGROUND
The potential exists for a problem with the A/C condenser on Preludes that have been driven in specific geographical areas where corrosive road salt is
used for snow and ice removal, in areas where ocean air is combined with heat and humidity, or in areas subject to acid rain. Any of these conditions may
cause corrosion of the condenser tubes, causing pinholes that allow the R-134a refrigerant to leak out.
CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
All owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail of this campaign. An example of the customer letter is included in this bulletin.
