Accessory Power Socket: Testing and Inspection
Accessory Socket Test/Replacement
1. Remove the audio unit.
2. Disconnect the connectors.

3. Inspect the connector terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
^ If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
^ If the terminals look OK, go to step 4.
4. Turn the ignition switch ACC (I), and check for voltage between the A and B terminals.
^ There should be battery voltage.
^ If there is no battery voltage, check for: blown No. 18 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

faulty accessory socket relay.
-
poor ground (G401, G402).
-
an open in the wire.

5. Remove the thermofuse housing and thermal protector, then remove the socket cover.
