Front Bumper: Service and Repair
Front Bumper Removal/Installation
NOTE:
-
Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the front bumper.
-
Take care not to scratch the front bumper and body.
-
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
1. Remove the front bulkhead cover.
2. Remove the front bumper (A).
1. Remove the clip (B).
2. Remove the bolts (C, D) securing the front bumper, front inner fender (E), and splash shield (F).
3. Remove the screws (G), then pull the wheel arch portions of the bumper outward to release the bumper from the hooks (H) on the side spacers
(I).
4. With the help of an assistant, pull the bumper forward to release the hooks (J) from both upper corner beams (K).
5. Remove the clips (L), then remove the front bumper absorber (M).
3. Install the bumper in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Make sure the front bumper engages the hooks (on both corner upper beams and side spacers) on each side securely.

Replace any damaged clips.

Push the clips and hooks into place securely.
