Front Bumper: Service and Repair

Front Bumper Removal/Installation

'00-03 Models

NOTE:

-

Have an assistant help you remove and install the front bumper.

-

Take care not to scratch the front bumper and body.

-

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the front bumper as shown.
2. Install the bumper in the reverse order of removal, and make sure the front bumper engages the hooks of the corner upper beams and front fenders

securely.

'04-08 Models (Except CR Model)

NOTE:

-

Have an assistant help you remove and install the front bumper.

-

Take care not to scratch the front bumper and body.

-

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the front bumper as shown.
2. Install the bumper in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

-

Make sure the front bumper engages the hooks of the corner upper beams and front fenders securely.

-

Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.

-

Push the clips into place securely.
