Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Testing and Inspection

Brake Pedal Position Switch Test

1. Disconnect the brake pedal position switch connector, and remove the switch.

2. Check for continuity between the No.1 and the No.4 terminals of the brake pedal position switch connector. There should be continuity when the

button (A) is pressed.

3. Check for continuity between the No.2 and the No.3 terminals. There should be continuity when the button is released.
4. If the brake pedal position switch is faulty, replace it.
5. Install the brake pedal position switch, and adjust it.
