Steering Shaft: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Remove the steering column.
2. Mark (A) the steering joint (B) and pinion shaft (C) to identify the position of the joint on the pinion shaft.
3. Remove the steering joint bolts (D).
4. Disconnect the steering joint from the pinion shaft by pulling the steering shaft (E).
5. Remove the steering joint (B) from steering shaft.
6. Remove the steering shaft.
