About the Accent
The Accent is Hyundai's small car, launched in 1994 to replace the Excel. Its name is an acronym of "Advanced Compact Car of Epoch-making New Technology". It was renamed the Verna in South Korea in 2000, but kept the Accent name in the United States, where since 2002 it has been the longest-running small family car on sale.
