Throttle Position Sensor: Description and Operation
Description
The throttle position sensor is a rotating type variable resistor that rotates with the throttle body throttle shaft to sense the throttle valve angle. As
the throttle shaft rotates, the output voltage of the throttle position sensor changes and the engine control module detects the throttle valve opening
based on the change of the voltage.
