Toe-in is adjusted by turning the tie rod turnbuckles, Fig. 1. Changes achieved by turning the tie rods for both left and right wheels simultaneously one
turn, will result in a toe change of approximately 0.47 inch on Sonata models, 0.514 inch on Scoupe & Excel models, or 0.433 inch. on Elantra models.
To adjust toe-in, proceed as follows:
1. Remove outer bellows clip to prevent damage to bellows.
2. Loosen locknuts, then turn right and left tie rods an equal amount as required.
3. After adjustment is completed, tighten locknuts, then reinstall bellows clip.
Rear
Toe-in is set at the factory and cannot be adjusted. Ensure assembly is free of worn, loose or damaged parts prior to measurement of rear wheel
alignment.
