The Hi-Scan Pro will establish communication and check the 1CM ID. The Hi-Scan Pro will reprogram the TCM automatically.
NOTES:

The Hi-Scan Pro detects the current TCM ID (affected) and assigns the new TCM ID (target) and displays them on the Hi-Scan Pro screen.

If the Hi-Scan Pro does not download the program, use the Manual Update Procedure shown in this section.

To be prepared in case a reprogramming error occurs, record the current "ECM ID" displayed on the Hi-Scan Pro screen. It will be used
during the Manual Update Procedure if the program does not download correctly.

Check the TCM ID displayed on the Hi-Scan Pro screen to verify that the correct TCM software is being downloaded by referring to the
"TCM SPECIFICATIONS TABLE" shown in this bulletin.
WARNING:
Do not interrupt the reprogramming at any time. The TCM may be rendered inoperative if the program does not download completely.

When the "REPROGRAMMING COMPLETED" message is displayed, the TCM reprogramming process is complete.
11.
Turn the ignition to the OFF position for 20 seconds and then start the engine and check for proper operation.
MANUAL UPDATE PROCEDURE:
NOTE:
In the event that "01. XD 2.0 CVVT 1-->2 SHIFT FEEL [AUTO]" fails to download the new ECM program, option "02. XD 2.0 CVVT 1-->2
SHIFT FEEL [ERROR] must be used.
NOTE:
Confirm all connections are established as shown in the "AUTOMATIC UPDATE PROCEDURE" before continuing.

Turn the ignition to the ON position.

Turn the Hi-Scan Pro ON and press ENTER.
