NOTE: Use an "automatic type" center punch. Do not use a hammer type. This is available through Snap On (P/N PPC4A) or through local hardware
stores.

Place a cover sheet over the interior of the vehicle to catch the metal shavings from drilling.

From inside the vehicle, drill a 3 mm (1/8 in.) hole through the center of each opening where the holes were punched.
5.
Drill a 22 mm (7/8 in.) hole to each of the 3 mm holes from the top.
NOTE: Use a "unibit" style drill bit available through Snap On (P/N YA267) or a hole saw.
CAUTION: Use of a standard drill bit may warp the roof of the vehicle.

Use a deburring tool to clean up all the edges of the hole.
7.
Apply rust preventive touch-up paint to all exposed metal (Genuine Hyundai brand touch-up paint meets this requirement).
