DESCRIPTION:
Rattling noise may occur at the door checker when the door is operated (noise is more likely to occur when the door is being opened). Two reasons might
cause this situation to occur, as follows:

1.

Excessive gap between the hole of the door checker arm and the door checker pin.

Confirm excessive pin gap by observing the pin movement as the door is repeatedly fully opened to the limit of the checker. Re-install the door
checker pin if necessary, and lubricate.

2.

Excessive gap between the checker arm and the door checker bracket.

Use a feeler gauge to check the space between the checker arm and the checker bracket (4.3 to 4.6 mm). If gap is within specification, apply
lubricant to the checker bracket. If the gap is excessive adjust to specification and apply lubricant.

NOTE:

Use a quality white lithium grease such as, Hyundai white grease, (P/N 00232-12170). A silicone spray (P/N 00232-12140) may be used if white
grease is not available.
