Loosen tensioner mounting bolts 1 and 2 in order shown, Fig. 7. This will allow spring tension only. Ensure timing belt is not out of position and
has not jumped a sprocket tooth.

Tighten tensioner bolts 2 and 1 in that order. Do not tighten bolt 1 first.

Turn crankshaft one complete revolution clockwise, until crankshaft sprocket timing mark aligns with TDC position.

Loosen tensioner attaching bolts 1 and 2 in that order, then torque bolts 2 and 1 in order to 15-18 ft. lbs.

Recheck belt tension. When tensioner and the tension side of timing belt are pushed inward with moderate force, the timing belt cog end should be
approximately 1/2 of the tensioner mounting bolt head width away from bolt head center as shown, Fig. 8.

Install timing belt cover.
14.
Install water pump pulley, spacer, fan and drive belt.
