TRANSFER CASE AIR BREATHER VENT HOSE
This bulletin updates TSB # 02-40-023 to include additional model years and recommended hose clamp location information.
DESCRIPTION:
Under some driving conditions, pressure inside the transfer case may cause transmission fluid to leak from the air breather vent and drip on the ground.
To correct this condition, an extension hose with a reservoir has been released. This bulletin provides the hose installation procedure.
NOTE:
The extension hose should only be installed on vehicles confirmed to have dripped fluid on the ground.
