GDS THE FORMER ECM UPDATE EVENT NUMBERS HAVE BEEN DELETED AND THIS TSB NOW CALLS OUT LATER AVAILABLE
DATA EVENTS. WARRANTY INFORMATION HAS CHANGED TO NEW OP-CODES AND OP-TIMES.
DESCRIPTION:
This bulletin provides the procedure to update the ECM software of some ENTOURAGE (EP) 3.8L and SANTA FE (CM) 3.3L vehicles which exhibit
malfunction indicator lamp illumination with either of the following DTC's stored by stated models:
-
P0300-P0306: Cylinder Misfire Detected
(for 06-07MY EP and 07-09MY CM 3.3L)
NOTE:
This is for a specific knock adaption related issue causing false misfire detection with the following conditions existing in Freeze Frame Data:

High Load > 50%
^
Normal range of fuel trim values (within +/- 10% most of the time)
^
Vehicle speed > 0 mph

P0110: Intake Air Temperature Circuit Malfunction
(for 06-07MY EP & 07MY CM 3.3L only)

P0128: Engine Coolant Thermostat Stuck Open
(for 06-07MY EP & 07MY CM 3.3L only)
