Subject:
2001-03 SANTA FE CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT DOWNSHIFT ABOVE 75 MPH - FIELD FIX
DESCRIPTION:
On some 2001-2003 MY Santa Fe 2.7L vehicles, if the cruise control system is being used while the vehicle travels up a hill at speeds above 75 mph, the
cruise control system may disengage as the vehicle speed decreases (due to the increased load). The Repair Procedure describes installation of an
extension wire between the Cruise Control Module and TCM which will allow the cruise control module to command a 4->3 downshift instead of
disengaging the system.
