Oil Pump: Service and Repair
Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove timing belt as outlined under Timing Belt procedure.
3. Remove oil pan and screen.
4. Remove attaching bolts, then the front case assembly.
5. Remove oil pump cover.
6. Remove inner and outer gears from case, noting location of mating marks to aid in installation.
7. Remove plug, spring and relief valve from case.
