SCOUPE AIR CONDITIONING DISCHARGE HOSE SERVICE CAMPAIGN
This bulletin provides the replacement procedures for the Scoupe A/C discharge hose. The discharge hose (with aluminum fittings) will be replaced with
a new discharge hose with steel fittings.
Please refer to Section 97, Air Conditioning System, Volume 2 of the 1994 Scoupe Shop Manual for additional service and repair information.
SERVICE PROCEDURES:
1)
Recover the R134a refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to instructions in the shop manual and be certain to utilize the appropriate refrigerant
recovery equipment.
2)
Remove the 12 mm nut, which secures the discharge hose to the discharge pipe (fitting-1, See Figure 1). Disconnect the fitting. Remove the bolt
which secures the discharge hose to the compressor (fitting-2, See Figure 1). Disconnect the fitting.
