This is a revision of TSB Vol 2, Engine, 019 issued in June, 1990. Please discard the original issue and use this one in it's place.
The welded spacer has been deleted from the front mounting flange of the engine oil pan and two of the nineteen (19) mounting bolts have been changed
from M6 x 12 (silver), to M6 x 10 (black).
When installing the new design oil pan to the engine block, the two shorter black bolts (M6 x 10) must be installed at the star marked mounting holes as
shown in Figure 1.
EFFECTIVE DATE New oil pan and bolts applied to vehicles built from February 26, 1990.
WARNING:
If the longer silver bolts (M6 x 12) are installed in the holes marked with stars, they may interfere with the timing belt.

Parts interchangeability
When the oil pan and bolts are installed as a set, the new parts are interchangeable with the current parts.
