TIRE FLAT-SPOTTING DURING STORAGE
Customers may complain of a vibration or ride harshness while driving their new vehicle. This condition may result from storage of the vehicle.
The condition will diminish over time through regular driving as heat is generated in the tires during driving.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
If a car is stored for more than 2 weeks (cold temperature will shorten the required time) a vibration may occur.
If vibration occurs due to storage, the wheels and tires should not be balanced until the vehicle has been driven for at least 300 miles. Otherwise, if the
wheel was to be re-balanced, the vibration may reappear once the tire has returned to its original shape.
If the vibration persists after the car has been driven for 300 miles, the wheel balance should be checked and, if necessary, corrected.
