Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove the under cover (A).
Tightening torque:
19.6 - 24.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.5 kgf.m, 14.5 - 18.1 lb-ft)
4. Loosen the drain plug (A), and drain the coolant.
Remove the radiator cap to speed draining.
WARNING:
Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Serious scalding could be caused by hot fluid under high pressure escaping from the
radiator.
5. Remove the radiator upper hose (A) and lower hose (B).
6. Disconnect the ATF cooler hoses (A/T only).
7. Disconnect the fan motor connector (A) and then remove the cooling fan assembly.
Tightening torque:
8.8 - 10.8 N.m (0.9 - 1.1 kgf.m, 6.5 - 7.9 lb-ft)
