Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Drain the oil by removing the overflow plug and the O-ring using a torx wrench (T40), and the drain plug (A) and the gasket by using a hexagon

wrench (17mm).

2. Disconnect the oil cooler hoses from the tubes.
3. 2Remove the 2 bolts to remove the oil cooler tubes (A) and the O-rings.

4. Remove the transaxle side cover and the valve body assembly. (refer to Solenoid valve's Removal)

CAUTION:
Be careful not to drop the valve body assembly.

5. Remove the input speed sensor (A).

Installation

1. Install the input speed sensor (A).

2. Install the transaxle side cover and the valve body assembly. (refer to Solenoid valve's Installation)

CAUTION:
Be careful not to drop the valve body assembly.

3. Coat the new O-rings with ATF, and install it to the oil cooler tubes (A). Install the oil cooler tubes with the 2 bolts.
