Connect the other end of the new Sub-Harness to the existing Brake Light Switch Harness Connector (see Figure 8).

Route and secure the Sub-Harness as follows:

a.

Route the Sub-Harness as shown in Figure 9.

b.

Use the Tie Band (supplied in the kit) to secure the Sub-Harness to the Instrument Panel Metal Bracket (see Figure 9).

IMPORTANT:

Make sure the Sub-Harness is correctly routed and is NOT rubbed, chaffed, or pinched by surrounding components.

NOTE: 

Do not re-install the Instrument Lower Panel or VDC Unit (if equipped) at this time. You still need to confirm/adjust the clearance on the new Brake
Light Switch (covered in the next step).

Re-connect the negative battery cable.
