SERVICE INFORMATION
If a customer is sensitive to vibrations in the ride and feel of his J30, especially at speeds above 40 MPH, it may be due to road surface conditions.
To improve the ride under such circumstances, new front and rear shock absorber kits with decreased damping and new rear springs are available.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Verify that no wheels and tires are out of balance.
2.
Verify there are no propeller shaft vibrations being felt in the vehicle.
3.
Verify the vibration is from road inputs such as "harshness feel" from a coarse road surface or an "impact feel" from cracks and expansion joints in
the road.
4.
After verifying the vibration is from road inputs, replace the front and rear shock absorbers, and rear springs as a complete set with the
countermeasure parts.
NOTE:
For further information on vehicle vibration isolation and diagnostic procedures, please refer to IT894-050 dated November 4, 1994, entitled "Infiniti
