Remove lateral link.

Install lateral link.

Lower Arm

Remove lower arm.

-

Inspect the lower ball joint as follows:
1. Measure swing force, turning torque and vertical end play in axial direction.

Ball joint specifications:
a. Swing force:  7.8 - 54.9 N (1.8 - 12.3 lbs.)
b. Turning torque:  0.5 - 3.4 Nm (4.3 - 30.4 inch lbs.)
c. Vertical end play:  0 mm (0 inch)

2. If ball stud is worn, play in axial direction is excessive, or joint is hard to swing, replace lower arm.
